Google boss Eric Schmidt in web data warning.

Eric Schmidt comments come as hundreds of millions of web users worldwide are increasing the amounts of personal information using social networking sites such as Facebook, Twiter and other sites, the chief executive warned that users may not be fully aware of the consequences.

He believes that all young people will eventually be allowed to automatically change their name on reaching adulthood to escape their online past.

He went on to say “I don’t believe society understands what happens when everything is available, knowable, and recorded by everyone all the time”.

His comments send a serious message to online users who are using social networking sites as well as day-to-day sites. It is expected that companies such as Google will store more and more personal information about users in the future, as if it wasn’t already enough.

“We know roughly who you are, roughly what you care about, roughly who your friends are”.

Is their anything else you need to know?
